The BirdsEye Biggest Week in American Birding Festival App, developed by Birds in the Hand LLC, is the official app for the Biggest Week in American Birding Festival. This 10-day festival, organized and hosted by Black Swamp Bird Observatory, offers a range of birding activities and workshops from May 6-15.
The app combines the power of the BirdsEye Birding Finding apps with quick access to the festival website, events, and news. It provides instant bird lists, allowing users to see customized lists of birds reported at the best birding spots around the festival. Users can also view seasonal abundance for each bird at specific locations and get driving directions to each sighting.
In addition, the app helps users increase their life list by providing a list of "needs" - species recently reported nearby that aren't on their selected life or year list. It also offers reports of notable birds in northwest Ohio and the option to automatically sync life or year lists with eBird for the ABA area, world, country, state, or county.
With trip planning features, users can easily see where their target birds are being reported and get driving directions to any hotspot or sighting. The app also supports bird names in several languages.
